Polls
Run polls with Convertful to learn more about your visitors and collect feedback directly from your website or blog.
For example, you can use polls to find out:
- What your visitors think
- Which product they prefer
- Which feature they’d like to see next
- What type of content they’re interested in
Creating a Poll Widget #
Once you have connected your website to Convertful, go to the “Widgets” tab and click on “Create Widget”.
In the Template Library, select “Polls”. You’ll find a variety of ready-to-use poll templates that you can customize to suit your needs.
Hover over the template you’d like to use and click “Create Popup”.
Use the widget editor to customize your question and answers and
adjust the design to match your website. If you’re comfortable
with the Convertful widget editor, you can also build your own
poll from scratch using the widget type and design of your
choice. You can learn more about customizing widgets in our
documentation.
Choosing How Visitors Answer
There are several ways to collect responses depending on the type of poll you want to create.
For quick polls, buttons are often the simplest option. You can also use radio buttons or drop-down menus when you want visitors to choose from several predefined answers.
For open-ended questions, you can use a text field to let visitors enter their own response.
You can learn more about the different form field options available in Convertful.
Important: When using a text field, the visitor must also provide their email address for their response to be saved. Text-field responses are stored with the visitor’s contact information and can be viewed in the “Subscribers” section.
Once you’re happy with your poll, make sure your button's On Submit action is configured correctly and set the appropriate Display Rules for your widget.
Viewing Your Poll Results #
Once your poll is live and visitors start responding, you can view the results from your Convertful dashboard.
For polls that use answer buttons, open the “Analytics” section for your widget and check the “Button Clicks” graph or table.
Here, you can see how many votes each answer has received, making it easy to compare responses and identify the most popular options.
For open-ended responses collected through text fields, go to the “Subscribers” section. The submitted response will be stored with the corresponding subscriber’s contact information.
