How to Connect Convertful with SimplyCast

Integration is under development

You can easily connect Convertful widgets with SimplyCast to grow your mailing lists and create email automations. Follow our step-by-step guide on how to integrate SimplyCast with Convertful.

Step 1: Choose SimplyCast Integration #

First, you need to choose a service to integrate with. When editing a widget, go to the Integration tab:

Next, choose SimplyCast from the list of available email providers:

You can add a new SimplyCast account, filling in its credentials:

Account Name is an internal value that you will be able to use to identify this particular account in account lists.

Step 2: Get your SimplyCast Public Key and Secret Key #

To find your Public Key and Secret Key go to your SimplyCast Settings, API page:

Next press the View link:

Here you can see the Public Key and Secret Key cells to copy data from:

Step 3: Enter your Public Key and Secret Key #

Now you got all the data you need. Fill the credentials and press the Connect with SimplyCast button:

Step 4: Choose a List #

If the Public Key and Secret Key are correct, Convertful will connect to your SimplyCast account to fetch your email lists. Now you can choose an email list to which your subscribers will be added:

Integration complete! Now all subscribers who opted-in using this widget will be added to your SimplyCast list.

If you want to create additional fields and marks for subscribers, who opted-in with this widget, you may specify the Advanced Settings (described below).

Marking Subscribers #

You may want to mark subscribers, that opted-in using the current widget, in your SimplyCast list for purposes like: personalized offers, targeted mailing campaigns, conversion rate analysis etc. Convertful provides a simple solution for it.

Activate the Mark Subscribers switch, choose a custom field for marking and fill in its value:

  • Custom Field for Marking is a custom field from your SimplyCast list that will be used as an attribute for marking subscribers. If you don't have any custom fields in your list you can create one in your SimplyCast account, as described in the Note below.
  • Custom Field Value defines the value that will be used for the given attribute.

Once finished, don’t forget to save the changes (using the Save button in the top right corner). After this, each visitor subscribing with this widget will get an additional attribute (a mark) in your SimplyCast list.

To create a new custom field go to your SimplyCast CRM section, Edit Columns page:

Next press the Add Column button, specify the Name and Data type that you need and press the Save button:

Viewing the Marks (Added Attributes) #

Once you have used the Mark Subscribers feature, you may want to see the big picture of your current subscribers with the applied marks. To do this, go to your SimplyCast Lists section and choose the relevant list:

Next press the columns control button:

Here you need to click the checkbox with the custom field name you have created before and press the Save button:

Now you can see the marks in the common subscribers list and make decisions based on it (create specific email campaigns, measure opt-in effectiveness, etc.):
