How to Connect Convertful with Platformly
With Convertful you can easily integrate your account with Platformly and use widgets to grow and segment your contact list. Just follow the guide below to set up Platformly integration and set up relevant actions.
Connecting Integration #
In your site’s Integrations tab, add new integration and choose Platformly. It will request your API key, which you can find in your Platformly Profile >> API Docs & Keys section:
Fill in the API key and press the Connect button:
Default Settings #
Once connected, specify the "Default Project" to add contacts to. You can also specify "Default Tag" and "Default Segment" if you're using those for new subscribers:
These default settings are designed to simplify the list building process by assigning most used tags/segments, but they are not mandatory. You can always specify different widgets to assign custom segments and tags to your Platformly subscribers. To assign custom segments/tags, just customize the button's actions.
Mapping Custom Fields #
We try to find the most relevant Platformly custom field for every Convertful field automatically. But if you need to fine-tune which fields we should use, you can do this in the integration settings, by editing Custom Fields list:
Actions #
When editing your widget's button, inside its settings you can see “On Submit Actions” / “On Click Actions” which you can use to perform actions provided by Platformly integration:
- Create user with default settings
- Add new tag to a user
- Remove tag from a user
- Add user to segment
- Remove user from segment
- Add note to user
- Update custom field
When updating custom fields, you can send static and dynamic data. Click the "{ }" icon to see the full list of available dynamic variables:
Widgets Display Rules #
Once the integration is connected you’ll be able to use the new Show Only If targeting options in the widgets’ Display Rules:
You can use these to create targeted offers based on the subscriber's current position in your Platformly marketing funnel.
Platformly Events #
You can use buttons inside Convertful form to trigger events created in the Platformly dashboard. Just click the button to open its settings, open the "On submit actions" list, and choose the "Fire event" option from the dropdown of Platformly actions. It will fetch events created in your Platformly account allowing you to choose the one that should trigger on-click:
