How to Connect Convertful with EmailOctopus

Integration is under development

You can easily connect Convertful widgets with EmailOctopus to grow your mailing lists and create email automations. Follow our step-by-step guide on how to integrate EmailOctopus with Convertful.

Step 1: Choose EmailOctopus Integration #

First, you need to choose a service to integrate with. When editing a widget, go to the Integration tab: 

Next, choose EmailOctopus from the list of available email providers:

You can add a new EmailOctopus account, filling in its credentials:

Account Name is an internal value that you will be able to use to identify this particular account in account lists.

Step 2: Get your EmailOctopus API Key #

To find your Account API Key go to your EmailOctopus API section. Here you can see the Your API key string to copy data from:

Step 3: Enter the API Key #

Now you got all the data you need. Fill the credentials and press the Connect with EmailOctopus button:

Step 4: Choose a List #

If the API Key is correct, Convertful will connect to your EmailOctopus account to fetch your email lists. Now you can choose an email list to which your subscribers will be added:

Once finished, don’t forget to save the changes (using the Save button in the top right corner).

Integration complete! Now all subscribers who opted-in using this widget will be added to your EmailOctopus list.

Advanced Settings #

Subscription Type #

EmailOctopus feature is that you can choose the type of subscription for those, who opted-in using this widget. By default, all new subscribers will be added to your list with an active subscription type, called "Subscribed". These subscribers will receive the messages from your email campaigns. 

If you want to, you can change this option to add subscribers with inactive subscription type. To do so, just change the Subscribed switch position:

Once finished, don’t forget to save the changes (using the Savebutton in the top right corner).
