How to Connect Convertful with ActiveTrail

With Convertful you can easily integrate your account with ActiveTrail and use widgets to grow and segment your mailing list. Just follow the guide below to set up ActiveTrail integration and set up relevant actions.

Connecting Integration #

In your site’s Integrations tab, add new integration by choosing ActiveTrail from the list. It will request your access token, which you can find in your ActiveTrail account settings. Go to your ActiveTrail More section, Integration subsection, API item, Apps page. Next, you need to click the existent item of the table inside API Apps tab, or click the New button to create a new item if you don't have one:

Here you can see the text field where you can copy your Access token value from:

Note, that if you are creating a new item, access token will generate automatically, after you fill in the Name field and press the Save button. To see the token value you need to reopen this new item.

Fill in the credentials and press the Connect button:

Default Settings #

Once ActiveTrail is connected, by default, each widget will automatically add subscribers to your default group which you can choose in the settings.

Note, that default settings are not mandatory and you can always specify custom groups manually for each specific widget while editing its button's actions.

Mapping Custom Fields #

We try to find the most relevant ActiveTrail custom field for every Convertful field automatically. But if you need to fine-tune which fields we should use, you can do this in the integration settings, by editing Custom Fields list:

Actions #

When editing your widget's button, inside its settings you can see “On Submit Actions” / “On Click Actions” which you can use to send leads to ActiveTrail using the relevant action - 'Create subscriber with default settings':
