Convertful Knowledge Base Agency Tools White Label Dashboard

White Label Dashboard

What is a White Label? This is the way to use custom branding in Convertful.

It implies setting up:

  • the custom-branded application to share access to the widgets with your clients via sub-accounts,
  • the custom widget branding (powered by),
  • the custom-branded emails for email notifications about new leads and registration/password recovery emails.

In this article, we'll describe how you can set it up to work correctly.

White Label Dashboard #

To set up your White Label dashboard go to your Convertful account's Profile >> White Label. Start with activating the Enable White Label dashboard for sub-accounts switch:

Here, you'll be able to access the preview of your White Label dashboard using the generated link. With it, using relevant controls of the Dashboard section, you can specify the browser tab title, logo, colors for the main text and background color, custom CSS styling, copyright text, and links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of your White Label application page.

Using Own Subdomain #

To use the custom domain, which will be the main link to your White Label application, you need to specify it in the Dashboard section, Dashboard URL:

Note the requirements for this URL to work correctly:

1) It should be a sub-domain (3-rd level) to your main domain (example: app.mydomain.com).

2) It should be real CNAME specified in your domain's DNS settings.

To set it up correctly go to your domain registrar (GoDaddy or similar services). And open the domain's DNS settings:

Press the Add Record button. Choose the type CNAME, specify the prefix you'd like to use as the Host value ('app' from the example below). Lastly set up the Points to redirect to the main Convertful application's address: wl.convertful.com.

Now everything is set up correctly and you can specify the custom domain (app.mydomain.com) as a Dashboard URL.

Customizing Whitelabel Dashboard #

This section below the domain allows you to specify the title, custom logo, basic background color and text color, footer's copyright and links to your application's Terms and Privacy Policy using the relevant controls:

For in-depth design customization, you may activate the Enable custom CSS switch and use it to customize your application's dashboard using pre-defined CSS templates, described in this article

Adding Custom Scripts to Your Application #

In case if you want to add custom code (for example, your own support chat scripts, Google Analytics code, or any other 3rd-party tool's code), you may activate the relevant switch and type the code. For scripts, use the relevant tags:

<script> yourscript.js </script>

Emails #

This section allows specifying a custom logo for emails and custom text for password recovery email for the White Label application sub-accounts. See the relevant article for details.

Widgets #

By activating the Enable White Label for widgets switch you can specify custom branding text (that replaces default 'Powered by Convertful') and custom redirect URL for this branding text.
